If you don’t know where Highland Park is located it’s just a few miles north of the revitalized DTLA or Downtown Los Angeles area. Highland Park is also just southeast of South Pasadena. Highland Park is the perfect mixture of urban culture and walkable tree-lined streets. You’ll get a bang for your buck on York Blvd, a street packed with gastropubs, tattoo shops, and art galleries. Or the newest explosion of “Eastside cool” is the strip of Figueroa Street between Ave 60 and Ave 56, which is another stretch of the pedestrian playground with a burst of nightlife eateries like Hippo and The Greyhound burger spot. The Metro Gold Line station is also on Ave 57, which can take you to Santa Monica beach with just a few transfers.

Homes in Highland Park have been on the upswing for the past several years. We looked at the home sales statistics today. Sales from Oct 1st – 31st 2017 vs. Oct 1st -31st 2018. The number of closed sales is not softening. It’s up 45% with 24% fewer days on the market. However, a 6% dip in the medium selling price has been. What is this telling me? The Highland Park Real Estate market is starting to normalize, which is very good news for the homebuyer.
